We regret to announce the passing of one of our band members, piper and drummer Bill McAllister,who passed away on Sunday October 12th 2008.

Bill was a well liked and respected member of both the Milligan Memorial Pipe Band and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 66 Pipe Band for many years.

He was always ready with an friendly word for everyone in the band, especially for new learners. One of our members recalls that the very first set of pipes he ever struck in were lent to him by Bill.  That member is now our Pipe Major, Peter Campbell.

He was a proud Scot and a proud Canadian.  He will be missed.
